The US Congressional Steel Caucus has told the US International Trade Commission (ITC) to remain extension duties on coated sheet from countries including Germany and South Korea in order to protect business for the domestic industry.

The US Congressional Steel Caucus has collected petition letter for protecting local steel business from 21 US lawmakers.

In the meantime, the duties should remain exist for US rule against German and South Korean firms would begin dumping steel onto the American market due to a weak European economy.

In fact, both countries have already operated business into US market.

The US DOC has already determined that allowing these orders to expire could lead to an import surge of the material used in autos, appliances, and construction.

Meanwhile, the ITC expects to determine final result of the import order from these two countries with date on February 15th, 2013.
